LAST DAY TO RSVP

Ok today is the last day to RSVP for our dinner! If you are coming its Sept 25th at 6:00pm at the middle schools Cafeteria! Its $11.00 per person and you can paypal the money or pay at the door. If you are paying at the door then still let me know you are coming so I can make sure there is food for you! If you want to paypal it send it to jordanmbutler@gmail.com.

Oh and I was going to put together a slide show but I didn't have any pictures sent in so we will be watching our old slide shows!! Yeah!!!

Update on Schedule for the All Class Reunion

THATCHER HIGH SCHOOL ALL-ALUMNI REUNION
Being held on September 24th & 25th , 2010

ATTENTION!! Because of some conflicts that we’ve just become aware of, this schedule varies a little
from the one previously sent out.

Friday, September 24th
1:30pm – Homecoming Assembly at the Thatcher High School – this is always very well done, and all alumni are
welcome. It will be at the Thatcher HS gym.
2:30pm – Homecoming parade – Alumni can ride in the parade, or just enjoy watching. (It will be up to each class,
or decade, etc. that wants in the parade to make their own arrangements, and to coordinate it with the High School.)
3:00 – 5:00pm – Reunion registration at the High School. Cost will be $30/individual or $50/couple. This would cover
the football game, Ice-Cream social / Saturday: Lunch, BBQ dinner, and the Alumni Volleyball and Basketball games.
For those who can’t make it during that time, there’ll also be registration tables at the Football game, Ice-Cream social,
and Saturday morning. (Note: Prices can be adjusted for those only coming on Saturday, etc. For example: Some
reunion groups will have their own Sat. night meal. ** But the minimum will be $25 per person and $40/couple.)
3:30 – 7:00pm – Time for individual classes, families, or groups, to have their own reunion gatherings, dinners, etc.
7:00pm – Homecoming Football game at EAC’s Mickelson Stadium
9:00pm – Ice Cream Social at the Middle School gym (Old High School gym). (Eat and visit with Alumni, spouses,
teachers, ex-teachers, etc. Sorry, this will not be for children.)

Saturday, September 25th
(Before 9:30am – Some groups, or classes may want to arrange their own breakfast gatherings.)
9:00 – 10:00am – Late registration, and gathering at the High School.
10:00am – Variety Show and Program – with awesome talent numbers from Alumni! (This will be one of those “don’t
miss” kinds of programs!! There’ll also be some recognition and awards for many of the Alumni present, etc.)
Noon – There will be a salad bar and pizza for lunch. (It is hoped that the lunch, and variety show, will just be for
alumni, spouses, ex-teachers, and not for little ones.)
NOTE: From 1:00pm on, the community will be invited to join the alumni for the auction, ball-games and BBQ.
(The alumni will get in free, but the community will have to pay $5 for the ball games, and $5 for the BBQ. Any
money raised will go to the Thatcher Scholarship Foundation.)
1:00 – 6:00pm – There will be an auction at the High School during this time. Items will be donated from Alumni and
friends … things like paintings, carvings, quilts, State Championship basketballs, etc.
1:30 – 4:30pm – If individual classes or “decades” would like to gather for visiting & activities, there will be rooms
available in the high school, or some may want to go to the Hot Springs, tour the Museum (the old high School), etc.
ALSO, from 1:30 – 4:30pm – Alumni volleyball and basketball games. Watch former players show they still have it!
5:00 – 6:00pm – BBQ Dinner! Enjoy great food and wonderful associations!!

Catered Dinner for the Class of 2000

Hi Everyone!

There will be a catered dinner September 25th for just the class of 2000. We will be eating at the Middle School's Cafeteria at 6:00pm. It will be catered by Casa Manana. The cost per person will be $11.00. This includes 2 enchiladas, beans, rice, and tostada with strawberry lemonade to drink. In order to reserve your plate, please paypal this amount for each person attending to jordanmbutler@gmail.com. The deadline to have your money in will be Sunday September 19th. If you plan to pay by cash or otherwise the night of the dinner, please be sure to let me know by the 19th as well so we will make sure there is food for you.

If you plan to attend please get your money in as soon as possible so we can have an accurate head count on who will be attending.

Dinner Update

Ok so as of now we will be having our own class dinner Saturday night at the Middle Schools Cafeteria. I know there are alumni games that night so you all need to let me know what time to do it at. I was thinking 5:00pm and be there for a couple hours and then those that want to go to the games can. If not then we can still hang out at the cafeteria. Since this is the weekend of the all class reunion there will be all kinds of other activities planned so I'm just worrying about a dinner for us. I am setting up a paypal account so you can RSVP for the dinner and then paypal me the money for you and your spouse for the dinner. Once that is set up I will give you the exact amount for the dinner. Mr. Palmer has said he will change the amount for the ALL class reunion for our class since we will be doing our own thing Saturday night, once I know that amount I will let you know. Ok I think thats it for now! Keep checking for more updates!!!

Update!

Ok so I'm not sure if you all know that the weekend of our reunion the school is having a All Class reunion as well! Mr. Palmer, Deanne's dad, is planning everything for the all class reunion and sent me a email with the schedule for what he is planning. So I'm thinking we will just work around what he is planning and do a activity that is just for our class! Please all look at the schedule and see when we should have a dinner or breakfast! PLEASE RESPOND ASAP so I can finish the planning!

5:00pm – BBQ Dinner for Alumni and community

6:00pm – Auction of items donated by Alumni and others (The money raised would go directly to the Thatcher Scholarship Foundation.)

6:00 – 7:00pm – Alumni Volleyball game (Public invited to the game, but the Alumni would get in free.)

7:00 – 8:00pm – Alumni Basketball game, and the conclusion of the auction results.

Note: The exact schedules are subject to some modifications, but this is basically what the reunion will be. It is hoped that the Foundation will be able to sponsor this “All-Alumni” reunion every 10 years.

Registration for the Reunion is: $30/individual, or $50/couple (This would cover the Football Game, the Ice-Cream Social, Lunch on Saturday, BBQ dinner, the Alumni VB and BB games.) Any money over the above items, and expenses, will go directly to the Thatcher Scholarship Foundation. We are hoping for other donations to the Foundation; and, along with any money raised at the auction, many future graduates and teachers will be able to further their own educations with the scholarships that the Foundation can give.

At this point, we are just trying to spread the word about the reunion and have people put the dates on their calendars. We are asking everyone to send in their e-mail information by e-mailing: thatcheralumni@gmail.com By doing this, they will be added to the mailing list – and then we’ll keep them posted on the further details (like where to send in registration money, etc.)

Catering Options!

I have gotten some information for the catering for the dinner. Please Please respond with any suggestions on what we should get! If I don't hear anything then I will just make the decision and I want everyone to like what we will eat, so you all need to give me your input!!! This is the letter I got from Adam! Thanks!!!!!

I've looked at all the class reunions that we have catered for and they have done several different
things. I don't know what your budget is and how many people you expect. One thing that Jenny Palmers class did was set up a pay pal account so each class member could prepay for their meal and that worked great rather than having to hunt each person down to collect their money. Then there was a cut off date where she knew exactly how many people were going to eat. Here is what we've served in the past:
Each package comes with complimentary chips & salsa, plates forks, napkins, & cups & ice for the beverage
  • Pick any 2 enchiladas, beans, rice, & tostadas. Served with fresh strawberry lemonade. $10.39 pp +tax

  • Fresh grilled Chicken or beef fajitas, hot tortillas, rice, beans, sour cream & guacamole. Served with fresh strawberry lemonade $13.99 per person +tax add Beef & Chicken $15.99 pp+tax

  • Pick any 2 enchiladas, beans & rice. Served with fresh strawberry lemonade. $8.99pp+tax

  • Nacho Grande bar with ground beef, green chili, beans, sour cream, guacamole, tomatos & olives. Served with Strawberry lemonade. $8.99 pp +tax

We have done several different desserts in the past like brownies sundaes, apple, cherry or peach cobbler with ice cream. Basically we can do everything so you can enjoy your reunion.
